This statement is made pursuant to section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015. It constitutes Allison Baby UK Limited’s slavery and human trafficking statement for the financial year ending 31 December 2019.
Allison Baby UK Limited is a subsidiary of Joie International Co. Limited and part of the Joie International Group. The organisation is a Baby and Nursery Manufacturer which manufactures a range of baby strollers, car seats, at home products and travel beds globally. Joie International Co. Limited’s head office is in Hong Kong and suppliers are based in China. Allison Baby UK Limited is based in Staffordshire, has over 45 employees; the Group in total has over 10,000 employees worldwide and operate/distribute in over 25 countries. The Joie International Group is a family owned and operated business, which has pledged to support the needs and welfare of all its employees.
Our UK Office launched in 2011, promoting and selling the brand Joie. The Joie brand is one of the world’s fastest growing baby brands, dedicated to designing products that make life with small children more fun and less work. The UK brand portfolio has continued to grow and now includes the NUNA brand. Our global business objective is that families worldwide benefit from our good quality, versatile, stylish and innovative products.

Allison Baby UK Limited is committed to continuously improving its practices to identify and eliminate any slavery and human trafficking in its business and supply chains, and to acting ethically and with integrity in all its business relationships. We have a global network of suppliers from whom we source and distribute our products.
Our policies on slavery and human trafficking
We are committed to ensuring that there is no modern slavery or human trafficking in our supply chains or in any part of our business. Our Anti-slavery and Human Trafficking Policy reflect our commitment to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business relationships and to implementing and enforcing effective systems and controls to ensure slavery and human trafficking is not taking place anywhere in our supply chains. Due diligence processes for slavery and human trafficking
As a business we recognise the responsibility that we must work with all parties in our business and supply chain to ensure that those within are treated humanely and with respect. Our commitment is to guarantee that all of our workers are neither exploited nor subject to unsafe or inhuman working conditions. Supplier adherence to our values
We have zero tolerance to slavery and human trafficking. To ensure all those in our supply chain and contractors comply with our values we have in place a rigorous supply chain compliance review programme.
In accordance with our Anti-slavery and Human Trafficking Policy, prior to commencing work with a new supplier, we will conduct a risk assessment and we will periodically review our contracts with business partners and suppliers as part of our wider commitment to ensure that we trade ethically. All suppliers are obliged to comply with our policy. Where a supplier is found to be in breach of our policy or involved in modern slavery or human trafficking, any agreement with them will be temporarily suspended until the breach is resolved or terminated.
To ensure a high level of understanding of the risks of modern slavery and human trafficking in our supply chains and our business, we provide training to our staff and keep appropriate records of training provided. We will also recommend our supply chain provide training within their organisations.
Our effectiveness in combating slavery and human trafficking
Our HR and purchase departments are responsible for ensuring that efforts are made to investigate and manage the risk of modern slavery and that basic labour standards are met in our business and across our supply chains. We conduct the necessary risk assessments and address any risks appropriately following a risk control, evaluation and review process.
We use annual SMETA Human Rights audit reports to measure how effective we have been to ensure that slavery and human trafficking is not taking place in any part of our business or supply chains.
We are not aware of any incidents of modern slavery of human trafficking being reported within our business or supply chains during this financial year.
